How charities are checked

Every charity that collects donations on Kayana Aid must create an organization account and complete identity, organization and payout verification with our payment partner, Stripe. Once Stripe verification is complete, the charity can publish campaigns and collect donations.

For UK charities this typically includes the registered charity name and charity number (Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR in Scotland, or CCNI in Northern Ireland), plus bank account details for payouts.

Payouts stay on hold until the account is cleared for payout. Cleared donations are then paid on the weekly schedule after the applicable rolling hold.

Campaign pages show the organizing charity's name. Where the charity has supplied it, we also show their charity registration number so you can cross-check them on the relevant regulator's register.

Stripe processes card payments. Kayana Aid never stores full card numbers.

If you believe a campaign is misleading or a charity is misrepresented, contact support@kayanaaid.com with the campaign URL and details. We review reports and can suspend campaigns while we investigate.
