Food and drink fundraising ideas
Food brings people together, which is why bake sales, coffee mornings and charity dinners are some of the most familiar fundraisers. They are easy to explain and easy to say yes to.
Food & Drink ideas
Charity Dinner
Host a sit-down dinner with a ticket price, live auction, and speeches. One of the highest-yield events per attendee when executed well.
Coffee Morning
Host a coffee morning at home, in the office, or in your community. Low overhead, highly social, and easy to organise in under a week.
Bake Sale
Homemade cakes, biscuits, and treats sold for charity — a timeless, low-cost event that works in schools, offices, churches, and community spaces.
How to plan your food and drink fundraiser
Start small if this is your first event. A coffee morning or bake sale needs a venue with passing footfall, a few volunteer bakers and a table. A charity dinner takes more planning, with a venue, a ticket price and someone to speak about your cause, but it gives guests time to hear why their support matters.
Make giving easy for people who do not carry cash. Put your campaign QR code on the table and on every poster so guests can donate from their phone, or take contactless donations on a Kayana Aid card terminal or kiosk. Every gift, online or in person, appears in the same dashboard, so you can share the total at the end of the day.
Check your local food safety guidance before the event, and list ingredients so people with allergies can choose safely. Afterwards, post photos and the final total on your campaign page and thank everyone who baked, served and gave.
