Take one-off and recurring donations through our payment partners. There is no monthly platform fee on the free plan. Each successful donation has an authorisation fee and a card-processing percentage, which vary by card type and currency.
Donors can add an optional tip to Kayana Aid at checkout. It starts at 1%, the donor can change it or set it to zero, and it is not part of your charity's fees.

Donation CSV
Download donation records for a date range. The CSV includes donation and campaign IDs, donor details, amount, currency, donation type, anonymous status, message, and date.
Receipts and invoices
Donors receive email confirmation, while hardware orders and applicable charges have downloadable invoices.
Fee and net amounts
Open a donation to see its amount, the authorisation fee, the card-processing fee, and the net amount paid to your charity. The fee table above shows the rate for each card type.
Gift Aid claims
Kayana prepares your Gift Aid claim. You review it and submit it to HMRC from Reports → Gift Aid.
Donation pages are currently available for charities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, the Netherlands, and our European option. Available currencies and payment methods depend on region.
Charity donation fees: common questions
Is there a monthly fee?
No. The free plan has no subscription and no setup fee, and there is no long contract. You only pay when a donation succeeds: a small authorisation fee plus a card-processing percentage, both shown in the fee table on this page.
Why does the fee change with the card a donor uses?
The card-processing percentage depends on the type of card (local debit, local credit, international or commercial, and other cards) and on the currency. The table above shows the current rate for each card type in your currency, so you can see the cost of a gift before you go live.
How much of each donation reaches our charity?
Open any donation in your dashboard to see the amount, the authorisation fee, the card-processing fee and the net amount for your charity. Payouts go to your charity's bank through our payment partners, and you can download every donation as a CSV for your finance team.
Do donors pay a fee?
Donors can add an optional tip to Kayana Aid at checkout. It starts at 1% and the donor can change it or set it to zero. It is not part of your charity's fees, so a donor who sets it to zero gives exactly the amount they chose.
Is there an offer for new charities?
Go live by 31 December 2026 and get 30 days of 0% Kayana processing fee from go-live. Stripe's own costs may still apply.
Is Gift Aid included on the free plan?
Yes. Supporters can add a Gift Aid declaration as they give, and the declaration is kept with the donation. Kayana prepares your Gift Aid claim. You review it and submit it to HMRC from Reports → Gift Aid. HMRC says it pays within 4 weeks if you claim online, or 5 weeks by post. HMRC sets these times, not Kayana.
