Fee structure explained

Kayana Aid charges a platform fee on each donation processed. The current fee is 1.9% per transaction for registered UK charities. This covers campaign hosting, Gift Aid collection, donor receipts, analytics, and support.

There are no monthly subscription fees or setup costs. You only pay when you receive donations.

In addition to the Kayana Aid fee, Stripe charges a payment processing fee of 1.4% + 20p for European cards, or 2.9% + 30p for non-European cards. These fees are deducted by Stripe directly and are not paid to Kayana Aid.

During checkout, donors are given the option to cover the fees on your behalf. When a donor selects "Cover fees", the transaction fee is added to their total and you receive the full donation amount. Approximately 65% of donors opt in to this on Kayana Aid.
