Setting up your Hardware shop device
Unboxing, connecting, and configuring your Kayana Aid tap-to-donate terminal.
What's in the box
Your Kayana Aid tap-to-donate terminal ships with: the device unit, a USB-C charging cable and power adapter, a mounting bracket (optional), and a quick-start card.
Initial setup
1. Charge the device fully before first use.
2. Power on by holding the button on the side for 3 seconds.
3. Connect to your Wi-Fi network using the on-screen setup wizard.
4. Log in with your Kayana Aid charity admin credentials.
5. Select which campaign donations should be attributed to (or leave as "General donations").
6. Set your suggested donation amounts — you can configure up to 4 preset amounts.
The device is now ready to accept donations.
Troubleshooting connectivity
If the device loses its Wi-Fi connection, it queues contactless taps offline and syncs automatically when connectivity is restored. If the device shows a persistent red light, perform a factory reset by holding the side button for 10 seconds and going through setup again. Contact support@kayana.co.uk if issues persist.
