Getting started as a donor

You don't need an account to make a one-off donation on Kayana Aid — simply find a campaign and follow the checkout flow. However, creating a free donor account lets you track all your donations in one place, download annual giving statements, and pre-fill your Gift Aid declaration.

To register, click "Sign in / Register" in the top navigation, select "I'm a donor", and complete the short form with your name and email address. You'll receive a verification email — click the link inside to activate your account.

Use the search bar on the homepage or navigate to /search to browse all live campaigns. You can filter by cause, location, or fundraising type. Each campaign page shows the charity behind it, the fundraising goal, donations received so far, and recent donor activity.

If a charity sends you a direct link to their campaign page, you can go straight there without needing to search.

On any campaign page, click the "Donate" button. Enter your chosen amount — there's no minimum — and proceed to the secure payment step. Kayana Aid accepts all major credit and debit cards via Stripe.

At checkout you'll be asked if you'd like to add a Gift Aid declaration. If you're a UK taxpayer, ticking this box lets the charity claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate at no cost to you. See the Gift Aid article for full details.

After payment, you'll receive a confirmation email with your donation receipt. Logged-in donors can view the receipt any time in their account dashboard.
